Abstract

Dr. Nasir Abbas Nayyar is a distinguished Urdu fiction writer and critic whose stories delve into profound intellectual and theoretical discussions. His writings are not merely confined to storytelling but compel the reader to think critically. His literary mastery and Thought, Narrative and Thematic Dimensions are vividly reflected in all five books of his short story collections. His fiction encompasses diverse themes such as oppression, violence, politics, sociology, culture, colonialism, postcolonialism, existentialism, class division and psychological conflicts. He skillfully incorporates Punjab’s folk wisdom, language, and expressions into his stories, creating a deep sense of familiarity and harmony for the reader. His writings highlight the significance of language and the power of narrative while establishing an intellectual resistance against authoritarian and colonial discourses. MUNIR ABBAS, PhD Research Scholar, Department of Urdu, Minhaj University, Lahore, Pakistan.

Mr. Munir Abbas is currently pursuing his PhD in the Department of Urdu at Minhaj University, Lahore, Pakistan. He is the author of one book and has published eight research articles. He holds an MPhil degree in Urdu Literature from the University of Southern Punjab, Multan, where he secured first position in his studies.

DR. MUNAWAR AMIN, Assistant Professor, Department of Urdu, University of Southern Punjab, Multan, Pakistan.

Dr. Munawar Amin serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urdu at the University of Southern Punjab, Multan, Pakistan. She obtained her PhD from Government College University, Lahore, with a specialization in Urdu fiction and research editing. Dr.Amin is the author of one book and has published twenty research articles.
