This article presents contemporaneity as a fundamental critical concept in the critique of the novel. A novel, in its structure, encompasses all aspects of life, such as social, political, economic, and cultural issues, and through it, highlights human psychology and collective consciousness. The novelist, by delving deep into history, politics, and social issues, not only portrays life but also gives it new meaning. Contemporaneity is a modern perspective in novel criticism, through which the novel is evaluated in the context of its time and social environment. This makes it easier to understand the creation of the novel and the critical elements within it. Instead of relying on theoretical concepts, contemporaneity allows for the examination of the novel within its natural context, considering details such as characters, environment, and social influences. In this way, contemporaneity presents the entire process of novel creation in a new light and paves the way for criticism free from theoretical constraints.
