Urdu fiction functions not only as an artistic expression but also as a significant medium for social and environmental awareness. This study explores reflections of environmental change and cultural migration in the short stories of Mansha Yaad, highlighting the interrelationship among human life, nature, and culture. His narratives depict the transformation of rural and urban landscapes, the gradual erosion of ecological balance, and the social forces that reshape traditional ways of life.
Through vivid portrayals of villages, natural environments, and human relationships, Mansha Yaad represents the environmental consequences of modernization, migration, and social inequality. His stories further illustrate how cultural displacement and changing lifestyles contribute to the decline of human values and ecological harmony. The study also examines his ecological sensitivity and concern for the future of humanity and other living beings. Mansha Yaad emerges as an eco-conscious writer whose fiction documents the intertwined crises of environmental degradation and cultural transition, emphasizing the urgent need to preserve both nature and cultural identity.
